England beat India by seven wickets in the fifth and final One-day International to end the series at 3-2 in favour of the hosts. Suresh Raina's gritty 83 helped India reach 226 from a precarious 79 for five, but England, led by Ian Bell's third ODI ton - 113 not out - overhauled the target with 16 balls to spare.India reclaimed the No. 1 ranking in one-day internationals for the first time in three years. India will be touring Australia for four Tests in February and March, followed by the IPL in April and May. India won their fourth consecutive home ODI series against England as Rohit Sharma (83) and Suresh Raina (89 not out) lead India to a comfortable five-wicket victory in the penultimate game to take an unassailable 3-1 lead on Wednesday. The victory came with 15 balls to spare, as India chased 258 in a floodlit contest played in cold conditions at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. India outplayed England in Kochi to inflict a crushing 127-run victory - the second highest margin of victory for India against England - and leveled their five-match one-day series 1-1. Captain Mahendra Dhoni (72) and Ravindra Jadeja (61 not out) blasted 82 off the last six overs as India accelerated to 285/6, after India won the toss and elected to bat first. The tourists were all out for a dismal 158. Pietersen top scored with 42. Man of the Match award went to Jadeja for his 2-12, a run out, and 61 off 37 balls which included eight 4s and two 6s. India had made one change - including Shami Ahmed (1-24) instead of Ashok Dinda. England won their first away ODI against India in 14 attempts, as the hosts fell short by nine runs in Rajkot. Winning the toss and batting first, England made 325/4, with the help of an opening stand of 158 between Ian Bell (85) and Alastair Cook (75).In reply, the Indian openers Ajinkya Rahane (47) and Gautam Gambhir (52) scored 96 valuable runs, but India kept on losing wickets and finished on 316/9.
